Dear Visitor,all the time I've spent into playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 I've learned more and more the sense of Base-Raping.
Of course, it is hated as a victim, but see the other side of the medal. Enjoy the tutorial!
The word "Base-Raping" is an invention of noobs who where not able to understand the game engine and game concepts or to play the game, resp. (can't) see their team losing the round. Often, Base-Raping is muddled with "camping" but these are two complete different "strategies". Often admins make their own rules and if you are a victim of a self-righteous one, stay and continue your way of playing the game, or just leave the server. Those admins will find everytime something against other players. So "camping" and "base-raping" get a new meaning.
If a well payed manager doesn't wanted to have Base-Raping, it wouldn't be possible to enter the enemy base! Right?!
But...
What is base-raping?
Base-Raping is when someone of the enemy team is in the other base and makes some kills and saboteates the actions of the opponents.So how Base-Raping happens?
A few reasons:- Your Team is too stupid to get spawn-points (Conquest Mode).
The enemy will NEVER wait on the first spawn-point for the enemy. There are no rules! The winner is the team with the most tickets so the enemy will do everything possible to prevent it. So they came into your base. This isn't unfair. Why? Is it unfair when someone take your parking lot while you are driving around the block instead of turn around? Is it unfair when your collegue get a better position because you have some deficits? Just think about! Base-Raping isn't unfair. It's just the result when your team is filled with noobs or "lone wolfs".
- A small group tries to sabotate your support-line.
When a squad destroys tanks and other vehicles in your base, you cannot move that fast to the front-lines. This isn't unfair! It is a very good strategy to employ at least 3 enemy players to catch just one. These are missing on the front-lines. In exchange even these group is missing on the front-lines, so, balanced.
What can I do when I'm a victim of a base-raper?
Depending on the situation you have different options:
If you have no other point to spawn left, you have a bad team -of course! Try to come out and grab the last point. When more team mates can spawn at the end of the battlefield, you have more options. Often when only one team mate broke through, the raped team turned the round and won! You have to break the circle! Find a way out of your base! This is really much fun. Don't waste your time to type flame-messages! You can't type and fight at the same time, that means: -1 ticket for your team!
If there is a small group in your base, take your squad, STAY TOGETHER and clean your base. Don't be too fast, the enemy knows you are there. Don't use tanks or other armored vehicles to look for them! Maybe the vehicles is prepared with C4 and they just wait for you get in (see below "Squad Strategies")! Make sure you have a medic who is everytime in a safe distance to your "sweeping" squad members! Nothing is more bad for a base-raping team when they don't get some tickets from you. ;-)

What shall I do when I'm the base-raper?
At first: Welcome to the better class of soldiers. This doesn't mean you should base-rape all the time. No. That means you've learned a different way of play the game. And when you found out the right time to use these following strategies, you understood the game more than 70% of the players. Strateegy is the most important point to win a game -even on public servers.Of course, it doesn't make sense when your whole team is in the base of your enemy. You will lose everything then. But when you know the enemy have a expirienced tank driver or pilot, it would make sense to prevent his actions, right?
Base-Raping is not to lift your score. It's to help your team on an indirect way. Don't overdo it! Not in every round Base-Raping is needed!
Make sure your team isn't at the same position. If you have a squad, split it 2:2! So you can make sure you can spawn in their base.
Additionally you need an Engineer and a Recon, with both you can set mines and C4. And both needs supply. So an passive (!) Assault should give them new ammo. If you like you can deploy a medic, too.
That means in plain-text:
Team 1: Assault + Medic (Supply)
Team 2: Recon + Engineer (Attack)
Both team are newer at the same place! The supply-team should make sure ammo and health are at the hide-out of the attack-team! The supply-team is passive and just assist the attack-team, e.g. when they place mines and an enemy tries to kill them.
But remember: Base-Camping, that means you stay in the enemy base for a longer time than "just" a few kills, is a unfair way of playing. Give the enemy the chance to come into the game.
