The main difference between the SPAS-12 and SPAS-15 is the magazine: the SPAS-15 uses a box baxazine, the SPAS-12 has the shells in the barrel.

The SPAS-15 is based on the SPAS-12, both can be fired semi automatic or as pump action. Pump action is used when firing non lethal ammo like tear gas etc.
