Old rifle from WWII. Most players already saw it in one of the World War 2 games. I have no idea, why DICE chose to put this ancient rifle in Battlefield Bad Company 2 :(.

The M16 is one of the rifles that is used by a lot games. In fact it is a pretty old weapon (see below), and more and more it is preplaced by the M4 carabine. Deutsche Artikel: Gewehr M16 A2 (23 Photos) und M-16 Sturmgewehr The M16 assault rifle was developed after the Korean war. In 1963 the M16 A1 was manufactured, but it had some serious difficulties:1) it was not very reliable in a muddy environment 2) if a soldier used a fully filled magazin, bullets often got stuck3) a lo soldiers called it a "toy rifle" because the butt stock was made with plastic The different versions are:M16 A1: 5.56mm, full auto fireM16 A2: 7.62x51mm, stronger rifle, 3-round bursts onlyM16 A3: used only by US Navy, 7.62mm, semi and full auto fireM16 A4: mixture between M4 and M16A2, using standard mounts Clones/copies and variants: AR-15 (Colt Models 601 & 602) XM16E1 and M16A1 (Colt Model 603) M16A2 M16A3 M16A4 Colt Model 655 and 656 "Sniper" variants XM177 Colt Model 733 M ...
Normally we don't list WWII rifles here... but somehow Dice decided to put this ancient rifle in Battlefield Bad Company 2.
TUSK = Tank Urban Survival Kit = More Armory. (ARMA 2, ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead)
This underbarrel grenade launcher is called "SG40mm" in Battlefield Bad Company 2
M24 Sniper Weapon System (SWS) The M24 Sniper Weapon System (SWS) is produced since 1988 and is still used by the US army in current conflicts like Afghanistan or Iraq.
The M249 exists in most games in two versions: Either the M249 Para or the M249 SAW. The Para is konfigured for paratroopers mainly, this means, it has a shorter barrel, which makes it more easy to use in CQB environment. The SAW (means: Squad Automatic Weapon) is used mainly for supressive fire, the barrel is longer. This makes the SAW more heavy than the Para, but it also gives a better acuuracy when firing in full auto mode.
The M27 is based on the H&K M416 assault rifle.
Variants: M6 Bradley: instead of two TOW rockets the Bradley has 4 Stinger Anti-Air rockets A2 vs A3 variants: A3 tanks use digital IFV/CFV plus better electronics /firing systems M2 / M3: the M3 variant has a better armor and a more powerful engine The M6 Bradley Linebacker is a Air Defense variant of the M2/M3 Assault Tank.Be careful not to mix this M6 with the M6 tank from world war 2 .Spaced laminate armor. Front Armor protects against 25 mm APDS from classified distance. Hull base is Aluminum.
In Call Of Duty 7: Black Ops this weapon is called "Commando", do not mix this with the SIG551 Commando.
M4 SOPMOD (Special Operations Peculiar Modification)
The M67 seems to exist in a lot different shapes. i need to check this a little more in detail and refine this article.
This sniper rifle is an anti material rifle, using .50 caliber. It can penetrate even light armoured tanks (in real life). Real Life vs Games: The Barrett M95 sniper rifle is not used by the US army. The US army choose to use the M82 barrett instead (but it seems, a lot other countries and some special forces use the M95 though) The Barrett M95 sniper rifle not a semi automatic rifle, you cannot shoot several bullets directly after each other. The M95 is bolt action, that means, you have to load the next bullet manually to the chamber. The M95 is more deadly in real life than in games: It uses .50 caliber rounds, they are so big and travel so fast, that even a slight hit will cause a deadly wound: for example: if it hits an arm, the arm will be ripped off. The victim will die very fast due to blood loss or die immediately due to the impact. It is very unlikely to survive a hit from a .50 bullet. Differences to other Barrett models: The main difference to the M82 s ...
PDR stands for "Personal Defense Rifle". It is a bullpop design to make the submachine gun shorter (the magazine is located behind the grib).

The MG3 is pretty old, it entered service in the german forces between 1950 and 1960. MG stands for "Maschinengewehr" (german for "machine gun"). This is an old machine gun, based on the MG42 from WWII. Real Life vs Games: The MG3 cannot be used by one person alone. When shooting Rambo-style it is impossible to hit something. As you see in the pictures, you need a Bi-pod or a person who acts as some kind of bipod. Is it still in use? Yes, even though it's very old, the MG3 machine gun is used on the Leopard 2 tank (and other vehicles).
MG36 machinegun Heckler & Koch The MG36 is a variant of the Heckler & Koch G36 assault rifle.Main difference between MG36 and G36 is the barrel: the MG36 has a heavier barrel for increased heat resistance.
MH-60S (ARMA 2, ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead)
The Mi-24 helicopter exists in several variants: Mi-24, Mi-25 and Mi-35. The Mi-28 looks totally different though, more like an AH-64 Apache helicopter. Mi-24D (ARMA 2, ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead)
The mi-28 Havoc helicopter is the replacement of the famous Mi-24 russian helicopter. The difference between the Mi-24 and Mi-28 is easy to notice: the Mi-24 looks pretty chubby while the Mi-28 has a design similar to the AH-64 Apache: tighter and more angled.

A fine collection of videos below: Video that shows the MiG 29 with the F16 Falcon Video of the MiG 29 and Su-27
The M134 minigun is used in the Blackhawk helicopter, on a HMMWV, in a jet or even on small helicopters like the Little Bird... but due to it's recoil it is simply impossible to shoot it from the hip like rambo does, lol :). On the other hand it is total nonsense that planes like the warthog would fall from the sky due to it's recoil.
The Mossberg 500 is available in a lot different sizes. In 3D-shooter games you often see the shortest version (barrel length 35cm), but there are also normal version with barrels up to 70cm length.Beside the typical 12 gauge ammo you can buy this shotgun also for 20 gauge caliber ammunition.

The MP5 has a ton of variants and each can be modified. In games usually you find a submachine gun close to the MP5 A4 or MP5 A2, if a game just says "MP5" we reference to the MP5 A4 then. The variants use the calibers 9x19mm, 10mm Auto (for MP5/10) and .40 Smith & wesson for the MP5/40 gun.
This version of the MP5 has special parts to be used at the water front. This means especially it has a better resitance against salt water and corrosion. Afaik this is not the only difference?
The MP5 SD is very silent. If you watch the videos, you see, that you only hear the sound the mechanic of the weapon does, but not the shooting itself. This is only possible, because the silencer is made as a part of the weapon, not as an attachment.
The MP5k is the short version of hte well Heckler & Koch MP5. MP5k stands for "Maschinenpistole 5 kurz" (means: "submachine gun 5 short").One of the specialities of the MP5k is, that there exists a very special version for german special forces: the MP5k sits in a suitcase and can be fired with a hidden trigger in the handle. This sounds like a cheap B-movie (or a old James Bond movie), but it really exists.
