Base RapingDear Visitor,

all the time I've spent into playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 I've learned more and more the sense of Base-Raping.
Of course, it is hated as a victim, but see the other side of the medal. Enjoy the tutorial!

The word "Base-Raping" is an invention of noobs who where not able to understand the game engine and game concepts or to play the game, resp. (can't) see their team losing the round. Often, Base-Raping is muddled with "camping" but these are two complete different "strategies". Often admins make their own rules and if you are a victim of a self-righteous one, stay and continue your way of playing the game, or just leave the server. Those admins will find everytime something against other players. So "camping" and "base-raping" get a new meaning.

British Military Radio SetDear Community,

a lot of people behave like idiots when using a microphone, and that’s fine for them… but not for us. Simply, because we expect some basic manners from other persons, no matter if playing a game or not.

We think, it’s good manner to:
  • Always behave like in a real life conversation
  • Don’t talk all the time, give others the chance to say something too
  • Listen to others, respond
  • Recognize, if you annoy people

Basic stuff you would do when talk to someone in RL. But when it comes to in-game stuff, many players act unbelievable rude. It’s absolutely ok to talk about other things than games… as long as players CAN request support or give orders IF and WHEN  they want it:

  • We’re here to play. We want to have fun PLAYING. If you hear someone giving in game commands, shut up with your private stuff until things cool down in game.
  • Adapt your speech to the situation. Boring game = a lot of side conversation. The more heat, the less talking.
  • Provide need information… shorten your text. “Medic down, two more enemies from east behind the wall.”
  • Why you tell us if you’re drunk or stoned? Are you 12 years old and proud of you first cigarette or what? Only stupid fuck*s are proud to use drugs anyway, lol :D
  • Never sing (except someone asked you to sing). No, you are NOT funny.

You can try to use perfect special forces commands for conversations. We do NOT recommend that, simply because a lot players are fine to learn some new things, but most don’t like strict rules.
